In 2021, Oakham School is celebrating 50 years of being co-educational. To partake in some of the celebrations, the Archives have created three special exhibitions focusing on co-education's impact on three distinct areas of school life: CCF, uniform, and the campus.
In this exhibition we explore the ever changing nature of school uniform and some of the more unusual uniform proposals; explore how the girls were admitted into the school's CCF and if the girls were given different tasks to the boys; and finally we look at how co-education changed and is still changing the school's campus.
