Submitting your first draft (31st May 2020)

by Mrs Toerien on 2020-05-31T14:20:19+01:00 | 0 Comments

DraftYou have reached an exciting milestone in your EE journey. Unless you have already discussed rearranging your EE deadlines with your supervisor, you should be uploading your first draft of your EE to ManageBac by the end of today (Sunday May 31st). Remember that your supervisor is only allowed to give you feedback on one complete draft, so contact your supervisor urgently if you do not think your draft is ready for upload yet.

Make sure that your essay satisfies the formal presentation requirements:

- "font, font size and spacing conducive to on-screen marking. [We recommend Arial 12pt, which was the previous IB recommendation. We also recommend double line spacing.]
- page numbering [In the Header or Footer]
- no candidate, supervisor, or school name on the title page, page headers, appendices or acknowledgment pages
- the file size must not be more than 10 MB. (Note that the RPPF is uploaded separately and is not part of the overall file size of the essay."
(IB EE Guide 2020, Presentation)

and includes a bibliography with all your sources accurately referenced in alphabetical order.

Reflection

Once you have uploaded your essay, you need to arrange to meet with your supervisor to discuss feedback on your draft and for your second reflection session before the end of term. If your supervisor is currently on leave from school and you are not sure what you are supposed to be doing, contact the Head of Department or Faculty for advice (if you are unsure who that is, you can find out from the school website, here). You can also contact Mr Foster (CJF) or Mr Toerien (DT).
