Basic searching
This video shows you how to do a general search for an item on Heritage, our online catalogue, and explains what information the catalogue gives you about that item. It covers general searching, using links to authors, subjects and keywords and briefly touches on limiting your search to a particular section of the Library (e.g. talking books).
The main focus of this video is fiction items. If you are reasonably confident with general searching but want to be able to refine your search technique, and especially if you are looking for non-fiction items, you should watch the Advanced Searching video below this one.
