Reading in its broadest sense, which includes texts in multimedia formats, contributes directly and indirectly to your academic success. At its most basic, reading is a skill, and as with other skills, the more you practise the better you will get. However, reading also furnishes your mind with ideas to work with and build on, so in this sense, the more you read the more sophisticated your intellectual constructions can become.
The resources in the tabs above have been thoughtfully selected by each Department to support what you will cover in the classroom but this list is not meant to be restrictive. Any reading towards and around the subjects that you are interested in will bear good fruit.
You will also find ideas of things to watch and listen to included by each department to allow you to expand your horizons in whichever way best suits your preferred learning style.
The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.
